The Girls Independent School League is comprised of 9 Christian Girls High Schools in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area.
To become a member of the Girls Independent School League the school must be a private, independent school and must submit a written request to the President of the Governing Board and the Athletic Commissioner on or before January 1st of even-numbered years. The school petitioning for membership must be able to compete in all of the sport competitions the conference participates in.

ABOUT OUR LEAGUE
Girls Independent Schools League Mission/Core Values
Provide education based activities and athletics that support our female students athletes through sportsmanship, competitive balance, safety and skill development through appropriate competition.
Goals and Objectives:

To provide healthy, positive athletic competition in each sport to determine league standings and league All-Stars.

To encourage and develop attitudes of good sportsmanship by promoting sportsmanship standards at all levels – coaches, players, and fans, and making them accountable to these standards.

To exchange ideas in order to aid the growth and development of female athletes through leadership development.

To establish a support group for athletic directors and coaches and to promote events that will foster camaraderie among member schools as well as professional development opportunities.
